Jord is committed to restoring the global carbon cycle and advancing the production of renewable products.
The carbon cycle is currently imbalanced, posing significant challenges and risks to our environment. Jord addresses this critical issue from both directions: carbon removal and emission reduction.
From C4-grass, cultivated on marginal land, Jord produces the next generation of sustainable biofuel. With soil carbon sequestration and biochar, Jord enables substantial carbon sequestration in the soil.

Discover Jord’s carbon credits and solid biofuels
Carbon credits
Jord’s carbon credits combine carbon avoidance and carbon removal projects, offering a robust, multi-dimensional carbon credit solution.
Fuel pellets
Jord produces solid biofuels in the form of pellets from C4 grasses, a renewable and sustainable alternative to fossil fuels.
Jord’s operations integrate marginal and degraded land, C4 grasses, and regenerative agroforestry practices, actively enhancing soil quality and its ability to absorb CO₂ while improving and conserving biodiversity. The Jord approach to restoring the biosphere and delivering renewable products can be described in four steps:

Explore our operations in Dominican Republic
Jord expanded its operations in 2020 by establishing a second site in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic, with 500 hectares of marginal and degraded land. In this region, Jord cultivates perennial C4 grasses, which are used as the primary feedstock for producing solid biofuel.
